Enhancing Student Success

Investment Intern - Summer

Our summer program runs for 10 weeks/40 hours per week positions. We aim to identify a few students who are interested in learning and applying their knowledge within a professional setting. This position is an opportunity to benefit from and contribute to the Penn State community.

These internships are open to any current student with any academic major. Prior knowledge of investments is not required.

If you desire to learn about institutional investing, this internship will provide a solid foundation for multiple career paths.

When Can I Apply?

We will begin accepting applications each September for the Summer Internship positions and will close at the end of September. Interviews are expected to begin in late October/early November

Investment Analyst - 2 Year Program

OIM has an ongoing investment analyst program intended to prepare graduates for a successful career in investing. If you have a desire to learn about institutional investing, this entry level position will provide a solid foundation for your future while continuing to benefit from and contribute to the Penn State community. 

This is a two-year program starting in June of 2026, providing an excellent opportunity to gain experience in institutional asset management and exposure to the global markets including both public and private investment strategies. This is open to graduating students. 

When Can I Apply? 

We will begin accepting applications early September 2025 for the Investment Analyst position and will close at the end of September. Interviews are expected to begin in late October/early November.

Summer internships for Penn State students at the Office of Investment Management offer transformative experiences that bridge academic learning with real-world financial and investment operations.
